I’m Jacq, the plant care specialist and founder of Mimi’s Indoor Plants in Charlotte, NC. For over 20 years, I’ve been learning how indoor plants truly thrive—light by light, leaf by leaf—guided by my grandmother Mimi, who grew food for survival and plants for peace. I’ve cared for my own plants and those of friends and family for decades, and now I share that experience with homes and workplaces that want healthier, science-backed plant care instead of guesswork.

My other lifelong love is interior decor and wellness—creating calm, intentional spaces that feel beautifully lived-in using what you already have. With Mimi’s, I’ve brought those passions together: ethical, evidence-informed indoor plant care + thoughtful, wellness-centered design. Every recommendation is grounded in plant science (light, water, substrate, and environment), and in ethical practices around propagation, plant sourcing, and long-term care.

Today, I help people and businesses turn brown thumbs green and transform rooms into living, regulated sanctuaries. From PlantRehab (a structured, science-based “plant hospital” for struggling plants) and house-call plant care, to PlantFlow Reset installations and gentle plant-and-nervous-system workshops, my work is about more than pretty leaves. It’s about nervous-system-friendly routines, cleaner indoor air, ethical plant stewardship, and indoor spaces that help you breathe easier and live more peacefully.
